About Us
History of TeleResearch Corporation
TeleResearch conducts automated emergency notification alerts for crisis such as Amber Alerts, floods, severe weather, disease outbreak, terrorist attack, etc. We also help clients run their offices more efficiently and free up labor resources via our automated appointment notification service. Additionally, we also conduct Public Opinion/Research Surveys and provide consulting services for business, corporations, municipalities, county/state governments, political candidates and issue development for news organizations, state associations, foundations, and market research companies.
TeleResearch Corporation was incorporated in August of 1993. Our automated methodology was developed during a variety of projects over the first three years. In the October issue of the American Marketing Association’s monthly magazine, a study of live and automated interviewing methodologies was published. The study was performed by a group of Canadian academics in Toronto. Their findings revealed two significant advantages for our automated system. First, every respondent hears the same question asked exactly the same way, thus minimizing interviewer bias. Second, respondents indicated they had greater confidence in the confidentiality of their responses with the automated system, which accounts for truer responses.
The accuracy of TeleResearch’s methodology is evidenced by our political polls. Over the last eight election cycles (A primary and a General election constitutes one cycle) of the 95 candidate polls conducted prior to the election, TeleResearch forecasted 94 winners! In the Indiana governor’s race in 2000, TeleResearch forecast O’Bannon’s winning margin of 15 points on the nose, the only research firm to do so.
Our accuracy again made headlines during the 2004 Gubernatorial election, when two weeks prior to the election, TeleResearch Corporation released our survey showing then Candidate Mitch Daniels ahead of Governor Joe Kernan by a margin of six points. Governor Daniels went on to win the race for Governor by seven points. The races polled run the gamut from the smallest of townships all the way to statewide and congressional district elections.
Finally, as the historic 2008 Democratic Presidential continued into May, TeleResearch was the first research firm to show Senator Clinton ahead of Senator Obama in the Indiana Democratic Primary. Our insight and analysis proved correct as Senator Clinton went on to win the Indiana Democratic Primary.
